FOUND - A multi-disciplinary exhibition featuring 13 emerging Singaporean artists

14 to 31 December 2013

Loosely based on the different contexts the word FOUND is found in, the exhibition aims to highlight the artists’ individual style, their journey in discovering this individuality and vindication to pursue a career as a visual artist in Singapore.

By capturing the artists’ reaction to the word FOUND regardless of its political, personal, metaphorical, social or educational slant, the artwork reflects a personal experience through which FOUND is defined and re-defined. The audience is invited to participate and question why the artwork is considered contemporary art.

This multi-disciplinary exhibition features Ade Putra, Amirah Eliyana Insyirah, Ashley Yeo, Denise Jillian Tan, Felicia Quah, Izziyana Suhaimi, Jian Long, Kah Meng, K.C. Gan, Khairullah Rahim, Marisse Isabel Caine, Nicholas Lim & Tay Lai Meng.

Opening: 14 December, Saturday 7.30pm

*Contemporary Art Talk by Paul Hume, Glasgow School of Arts

*Live demonstration of still life drawing

*Participation in 3 metre thread installation

Open daily from 10 to 6pm.
