Cai Zhisong Solo Exhibition: Trilogy

Exhibited for 7 weeks, Trilogy saw an estimated of 21,000 people visiting the exhibition. Showcasing his major works, the exhibition includes the series "Ode to Motherland", "Rose" and "Clouds".

Born in 1972 in Shenyang, Cai Zhisong is one of the most iconic characters in China's sculpture society.A graduate of Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), where he held the role as a professor from 1997 to 2001 and 2008. He is currently working and living in Beijing as a professional artist.

Throughout the years of his profession, Cai received several significant awards, which includes the 1997 Gangsong Family Fund Award, the prestigious Taylor Prize at the 2001 Paris Autumn Salon in Eiffel-Branly - thus becoming the first ever Chinese artist to be honoured in 103 years when he was only 29.  Not only did he receive Bronze at the 10th National Art Exhibition, he was also presented the honourable CAFA President's Prize in 2004.

Cai's works have been collected by many renowned museums, art galleries and art institutions, including: Newark Museum of Art, Germany's Museum of Regensburg, Museum of Fine Arts in Greece, the National Museum of Indonesia, the National Art Gallery Singapore, Deutsche Bank, Belgium Embassy in China, the National Museum of China, the national Art Museum of China, central Academy of Fine Arts, He Xiangning Art Museum and the Zhejiang Art Museum.
