Sun Liang Solo Exhibition: Suspension

Exhibited for 10 weeks, Suspension drew 25,300 people and showcased Sun Liang's dedication to his own creations. Sun Liang's experimental works is gaining attention in contemporary art scene back in China and does not limit to oil painting. Over the years, several art exhibitions around the world have specially selected his print works and leather painting for presentation.

Through this exhibition, Sun Liang had managed to allure audiences who were awestruck by his 30 years of tremendous explorations and constant development of sensational works. Hence, viewers of his works are able to see an overview of Sun Liang's artistic and creative talents.

Since the beginning of 1980, his journey towards creativity has slowly matured through the period of mysticism and symbolism, manifestation, fantasy and abstract style. In 1993, he was one of the first Chinese artists to be represented in Venice Biennial exhibition. He had brought the aesthetic taste of Chinese classical art into the wonderful imagery of contemporary art, preserving the traditions and yet creating a future at the same time. His works is a combination of 'Shan Hai Jing' and the 'Bible'. In the bream of dreams and fantasy, he presents to all art lovers in the world with a touching beauty of art. This beauty in the art both surpasses time and cultures.
